Rehabilitate concrete water sumps in case of any unsealed areas, even on vertical surfaces with the Water Sump Sealing System. The downtime is only 4-6 hours because the drying time of the system is very short.
Structure of the Water Sump Sealing System:
Surface Preparation:
The surface shall be solid, clean, dry and free of any hydrocarbon residuals.
Sealing:
For each application, a dew point distance of 3°C must be observed.
Primer:
For proper adhesion special primer must be applied directly on the cleaned and solid underground surface. The primer shall be applied with a roller. The primer is wet on wet recoatable.
Filling:
The filling material is a 3-component resin. Since the drying time (pot life) is short, pay attention to the right amount of applicable material. For application use trowel, spatula or similar. Apply the filling material directly on the wet primered surface. The filling material is wet on wet recoatable.
Laminate:
The laminate system is a 2-component laminate resin and a special biwoven ultra high strength fibreglass sheet. Since the drying time (pot life) is short, pay attention to the right amount of applicable material. For the laminate application use roller and previously cut fibreglass sheets. Apply the laminate directly on the wet primer and reprofiled surface.
Installation note:
The above information is based on tests by approved institutes (e.g. TÜV Süd Germany) and many years of experience. As the lining performance depends on correct installation, we offer application courses for certified installers and installation supervisors and provide certificates which shall be renewed every 3 years.
